Raffaello Fasoli ha fondato Atelier del Vetro a Torino con una visione chiara: creare oggetti che non appartengano ad alcuna serie, che non possano essere replicati.
Every piece begins with a precise gesture: the blade on glass, the copper foil folded around each edge, the solder that joins the fragments into a single form. Raffaello Fasoli founded Atelier del Vetro in Turin with a clear vision: to create objects that belong to no series, that cannot be reproduced.
Lampade, candelabri, posacenere, oggetti ornamentali — ogni creazione porta il segno inequivocabile della mano che l'ha realizzata. Non c'è un catalogo. Non c'è produzione in serie. C'è solo il dialogo tra l'artista e chi gli commissiona un pezzo unico.
Lamp shades, candle holders, ashtrays, ornamental objects — every creation carries the unmistakable mark of the hand that made it. There is no catalogue. There is no series production. There is only the dialogue between the artist and those who commission a one-of-one piece.

La Tecnica The Technique
La tecnica Tiffany — perfezionata da Louis Comfort Tiffany alla fine del XIX secolo — si basa su un principio tanto semplice quanto straordinario: pezzi di vetro colorato, tagliati uno ad uno e avvolti nel foglio di rame, vengono saldati insieme a mano per formare strutture di luce e colore.
The Tiffany technique — perfected by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the late nineteenth century — is based on a principle as simple as it is extraordinary: individually cut pieces of coloured glass, wrapped in copper foil, hand-soldered together to create structures of light and colour.
Il risultato è una composizione in cui ogni frammento è irripetibile, ogni giuntura porta il segno del tempo e della cura. Non esiste la stessa opera due volte.
The result is a composition in which every fragment is irreplaceable, every joint bearing the mark of time and care. The same work never exists twice.
Taglio del vetro Hand-cut glass
Ogni frammento viene selezionato e tagliato singolarmente. Il vetro colorato è scelto per tono, trasparenza e qualità della superficie.
Each fragment is individually selected and cut. Coloured glass is chosen for tone, translucency and surface quality.
Foglio di rame Copper foil
I bordi di ogni pezzo vengono avvolti nel foglio di rame adesivo — un procedimento lento, millimetro per millimetro.
The edges of each piece are wrapped in adhesive copper foil — a slow process, millimetre by millimetre.
Saldatura a stagno Tin soldering
I pezzi vengono saldati insieme con lo stagno, formando le linee visibili che strutturano l'opera e le conferiscono il suo carattere distintivo.
The pieces are soldered together with tin, forming the visible lines that structure the work and give it its distinctive character.

Raffaello Fasoli è un artigiano torinese profondamente radicato nella tradizione dell'arte vetraria. La sua passione per il vetro nasce dall'ammirazione per i maestri vetrai del passato e dall'esigenza di esprimere qualcosa che le tecniche industriali non possono offrire: unicità, imperfezione calibrata, bellezza lenta.
Raffaello Fasoli is a Turin artisan deeply rooted in the tradition of glass art. His passion for glass grows from admiration for the master glassworkers of the past and a need to express something that industrial techniques cannot offer: uniqueness, calibrated imperfection, slow beauty.
Ogni suo pezzo è il risultato di settimane di lavoro. Il tempo di attesa per una commissione — oggi tra i sei e i nove mesi — non è un limite, ma la misura di questa dedizione assoluta al mestiere.
Every piece he creates is the result of weeks of work. The current waiting time for a commission — six to nine months — is not a limitation, but the measure of an absolute dedication to the craft.

Consultazione Consultation
Raffaello ti contatterà personalmente per un primo incontro — in studio a Torino o a distanza. Parlerete del tuo brief, delle atmosfere che vuoi evocare e dello spazio a cui è destinata la creazione. Da questo momento, la visione è nelle mani dell'artista.
Raffaello will contact you personally for an initial meeting — in the studio in Turin or remotely. You will discuss your brief, the atmosphere you wish to evoke, and the space the piece is destined for. From this point, the vision passes into the artist's hands.
Creazione Creation
Raffaello interpreta il tuo brief con piena libertà artistica. Sceglie i vetri, le forme, i colori — e lavora interamente a mano nel suo laboratorio torinese. Nessuna macchina. Solo vetro, rame, stagno e pazienza. Il risultato è la sua reinterpretazione della tua visione: unica, irripetibile, imprevedibile nel modo migliore.
Raffaello interprets your brief with full artistic freedom. He selects the glass, the forms, the colours — and works entirely by hand in his Turin workshop. No machines.
